Eastern Loudoun Lacrosse

Welcome to Eastern Loudoun Lacrosse - Home of the Warriors...Fall Lacrosse Registration Now Open!...

Registration is now open for Fall Lacrosse

The Fall program will operate using the following guidelines:

FALL PROGRAM OBJECTIVE:
The objective for the Fall lacrosse program is to provide those beginner children who wish to play an opportunity to do so at a much more relaxed level. Additionally, for those more experienced players, this is a chance to play with friends that they may not have an opportunity to play with because of how teams are put together in the Spring (A, B and C teams). Spring is the main season for lacrosse and teams compete in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League at the A, B and C levels.
Only pinney's are provided, no uniforms or team pictures will be offered.
BOYS PROGRAM:
Eastern Loudoun will operate its own league, with a 6 game season.
Details are provided below:
1) Game only (6 Games) league, with the exception of 2 get together practices, beginning the Sunday after Labor Day. Games will begin on 9/21 and end 11/2. No games will be scheduled October 12th due to Columbus Day weekend. Games will consist of 25 minute running half's with no time-outs.
2) There will be two divisions: Junior (mostly U13 and U15, some U11 players) and Mite (mostly U9 and U11)
Teams will be created on how children funnel to High School for the Junior Division (6th, 7th and 8th Graders) and Elementary School for the Mite Division (3rd, 4th and 5th graders). If a school has a low number of children participating, they will be grouped with the nearest school for its division.
Teams will be created based solely on geographic area (where kids will go to High School) and not by skill level. There will be no A, B or C division.
Another division, the Flea's, will consist of 1st and 2nd graders. They will have one hour time slots each Sunday and will focus primarily on fundamental skill development with the possibility of some scrimmages.
GIRLS PROGRAM:
The girls program will be run focusing on skill development with scrimmaging each Sunday beginning September 7th. No session will be held on October 12th due to Columbus Day weekend. Each session will last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Girls will be aligned by the same division format as the boys, with the exception of the Flea division.
LOCATION:
We are currently trying to secure fields in both Sterling (Seneca Ridge) and Ashburn/Brambleton area. The goal for the Boys program is to align your child based on geographic's and have your child play on a field closest to your home. If numbers justify the same arrangement for the Girl's program, the same guideline will be used. If the Girl's program does not have the numbers to support such an arrangement, the goal will be to hold the skill development with scrimmaging sessions every other week at alternate fields (Sterling or Ashburn/Brambleton).
COST: $80 for registration
EQUIPMENT RENTAL: $25

Help Support Tyler Roth & His Family

As many of you have already heard, one of our Eastern Loudoun Lacrosse players (Tyler Roth), age 11, son of Vice-President of ELL Peter Roth, was suddenly impacted by a form of a stroke. Many of you have already offered your help and support to Tyler and his parents (Peter and Lisa) and they express their heart felt gratitude.

If you would like to make an individual donation directly to the Roth Family Medical Fund, please mail donations made out to "Ashburn Ruritans c/o Roth Family Medical Fund" to Tom Ward 20949 Fowlers Mill Circle Ashburn, VA 20147

This fund will assist the Roth family with the ongoing and increasing medical expenses for Tyler's rehabilitation. Thank you to all the lacrosse families and friends for their continued prayers for Tyler.

Welcome to Eastern Loudoun Lacrosse Website. Home of the Warriors. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers to provide the children of Eastern Loudoun County the opportunity to learn and play Lacrosse, the fastest game on two feet.

Lacrosse has been played in Loudoun County since 1990.  Eastern Loudoun Lacrosse serves children from Briar Woods, Broad Run, Dominion, Freedom, Park View, Potomac Falls, and Stone Bridge school districts. Western Loudoun Lacrosse serves Heritage, Loudoun County, and Loudoun Valley. Visit their website: Western Loudoun Lacrosse to register.

We play lacrosse in the spring against towns and counties from across northern Virginia. Boys and Girls grades 1st through 8th grades are eligible to play for Eastern Loudoun Lacrosse.

We encourage parents to volunteer and are always looking for quality coaches.
